CLUB HISTORY

The Mustang Owners Club of Southeastern Michigan (MOCSEM) was formed in 1975 by James Egyed - who is still an active member of the club. Little did Jim know that MOCSEM would become one of the largest organized Mustang clubs and the third oldest Mustang club in the world. MOCSEM has forged a strong relationship with Ford Motor Company, and consistently supplies specific Mustang cars for special Ford events whenever the need arises.  Ford Executives, Leaders, Engineers and Designers of every Mustang platform have been involved in MOCSEM's special events throughout the club's existence.  It is common to see many past and present Mustang program resources at MOCSEM General Meetings or at some of the organized events throughout the season.

MOCSEM is celebrating its 50th anniversary in 2025, and will continue to grow and evolve the club for another 50 years of celebrating and supporting the Mustang lifestyle.

MISSION

MOCSEM is a family club dedicated to celebrating and preserving the legacy of the Ford Mustang.

Most of the club members own one or more Mustangs in varying body styles and model years. However, ownership of a Mustang is not a requirement to be a club member. Club members exchange information, provide sources for parts, literature, and technical assistance on improving and/or maintaining their Mustangs. Club members come from varying backgrounds, but all share a great appreciation and passion for the Ford Mustang.

MOCSEM hosts one of the largest Mustang events in the country every August - MUSTANG MEMORIES. This special event draws participants and attendees from many other Mustang clubs, states and even other countries. MOCSEM is passionate about providing the best Mustang enthusiast experience possible, and constantly strives to grow and enhance Mustang Memories each year. Proceeds from Mustang Memories and other activities throughout the year enable MOCSEM to donate thousands of dollars to various local and national charities.
