FROM THE PRESIDENT

June 19, 2026
Looks like Summer finally made it to Michigan and MOCSEM activities are in full swing! We hope you have been enjoying our monthly activities so far and we have more MOCSEM member events for June and July (and free!):
-
Downriver Cruise Kickoff Party at Savvy Sliders – June 26th
-
Downriver Cruise Gathering at Kennedy Park – June 27th
-
Cruisin' US-12 at Demmer Ford (w/BBQ and Music) – July 11th
-
Telegraph Cruise (Berardi Garage open for members to relax) – July 25th
-
MOCSEM Family Club Picnic (Food provided, members bring a dish to pass) – July 26th
And if you think those are great activities, we still have our Mustang Memories Show, Woodward Pre-Cruise and our own MOCSEM Mustang Alley for Woodward in August!
I do want to take time out to thank you, our members, for your participation in our events and especially the help you have given to the club so far this year. It really does take a small army of volunteers to make the club successful, and you continue to offer help at events like National Mustang Day, Cruise events, Mustang Memories, and even helping to set-up/tear down at our General meetings. For Mustang Memories, we already have over 89 volunteer spots filled, so just need a little more help in a few categories:
-
Judging (fun to do!), Parking (you can wear a yellow vest!)
-
Security (easy-peasy – just making sure spectators are wearing their wrist bands)!
So a big “Thank you” from all of us on the Board! You can sign up to volunteer at the link below or simply send me an email at mustangcorral@wowway.com and we’ll get you signed up!

And don’t forget to pre-register for Mustang Memories (link below) by the end of July to make sure you get a goody bag! We just picked them out and you are going to want one this year for sure!
2026 Mustang Memories All-Ford Car Show | MOCSEM
For the Woodward Dream Cruise this year, MOCSEM will have it’s own Mustang Alley! The last couple years we lost out having our “Mustang Alley West” due to Ford bringing in the Bronco’s for display, and this year is no different. However, with the help of Ferndale, we have secured our own Mustang Alley one block north of 9 mile right on Woodward. Ferndale gave us Vester Street from Woodward to Bermuda and it is exclusive to MOCSEM only! We’ll call it Mustang Alley North, and will be able to put our chairs right on Woodward and watch the cruise. We’ll have more details as we get a little closer.
We have had fantastic speakers at each of our meetings this year, and June was no exception! Ken Rutkowski gave us a fantastic overview of his 68 Shelby GT-500 KR and all his stories! I am guessing that there were a few more stories he had up his sleeve when he was younger that maybe, just maybe, he didn’t share! What a great time that was!
For our July Meeting – we have Austin Atwood, Manager – Ford Mustang Unleashed Program. I’m sure many of you already know Austin from his past association with our club, and you will really enjoy his time with us! See you at the July meeting!
Mike Berardi – MOCSEM President
