A FAMILY CLUB DEDICATED TO PRESERVING THE LEGACY OF THE FORD MUSTANG
FROM THE PRESIDENT

February 15, 2026
Is it Springtime yet? It seems to be getting closer as the temperature runs into the 40s! I know I am patiently waiting to have a great time at our National Mustang Day event! We hoped you enjoyed our February social event with Jasen Magic and his comedy/magic routine. I have known Jasen for over 25 years and he never disappoints. Thank you for donating $500 to Jasen’s favorite charity, The Rainbow Connection, who helps the children in Michigan. We had another full house for the February General Meeting, and I hope you enjoyed the talk with Leo and Craig Capaldi - as well as how to handle your pony on the street and track!
We mentioned at the meeting that the club can use some volunteers to help with some of the ongoing activities (i.e. Merchandise, Membership, Social Activities, Website Administration, etc), as needed throughout the year. We would like to start out by getting some help for the following activities:
-
Merchandise - one person to help out at our monthly meetings
-
Membership - one person to help with new member bags and process Registration information
-
Social Committee – three people to help identify and coordinate new activities
We’ll send out a communication asking for volunteers shortly (and thank you in advance for volunteering)! We also want to thank everyone that helped put away tables and chairs at the end of the last meeting, as that was very helpful. A shout out to Darrell and Josh who have already volunteered to help set up the meeting with us in March!
Now on to some more exciting news:
-
The March meeting brings Charlie Kennedy from the Detail Shop to speak to us on how to properly detail your Mustang to get it ready for Spring cruising and car shows. Charlie and his team also offer a wide variety of services to keep your Pony as clean as it was the day it was born!
-
March also brings us another MOCSEM Social event at the Michigan Firehouse Museum in Ypsilanti (Saturday, March 21st). The Museum encompasses over 26,000 sq ft of multi-level displays including an 1898 Firehouse, antique and early fire trucks and the largest collection of fire truck bells in the country! After the tour, we will head over to Sidetrack Bar/Grille for a bite to eat. Registration will available in early March.
-
April brings on National Mustang Day! You are going to enjoy this, it is going to be epic!
-
Our guest speaker for April will be Kurt Kiser - who worked with me on the 2017-2021 Ford GT. Kurt is going to share with us how the service requirements were developed between our organization and Multimatic as we were designing the vehicle. Lots of good stories to hear with this one!
If you have time to come early to the monthly meetings, please come and meet a new member (or someone who you have not met before) and share your Mustang story with them! See you in March.
