FROM THE PRESIDENT

May 1, 2026

We certainly had some interesting weather in April, and I hope May will be a little more consistent! Even with all the wild weather, MOCSEM club members certainly made it a point to get together at the April events we had planned! The MOCSEM National Mustang Day (NMD) celebration was nothing less than Epic! From the hospitality of the Flat Rock Assembly Plant, the special unveiling of Dana’s new ride, the Police escort all the way to I-275, to the gathering at Phoenix Mills with a live band, Atwater Street Taco Food and Steve Saleen!  Even with the rainy weather, over 100 Mustangs gathered and traveled together to each of the locations!

The fun didn’t stop with NMD. This past weekend, MOCSEM gathered at Northville High School and caravaned over to the ECC show. Weather was once again a little cold and damp, but over 20 Mustangs gathered for the event!  Even the attendance at our general meetings has been great with about 100 folks coming out to listen to our guest speakers and enjoy the camaraderie of others prior to the meeting. I would personally like to give a big “Thank-you” to Dana (our
Social Director), the Board Members, and everyone one of you that helped make NMD the success that it was!
I would also like to thank John (our Membership Director) for gathering/leading the caravan to the ECC event! It takes everyone working together to make these events successful.

We are going to try something new for the General Meetings from May – September (weather permitting of course). We would like to display one Mustang from each of the seven generations in front of the entrance to the meeting so folks can view/learn about our members cars during the pre-meeting social hour. If you’re interested in displaying your Mustang at one of the meetings between May-September, you can send an email to mustangcorral@wowway.com and we will begin filling the monthly spots.

Here are some of the upcoming events for the club (keep an eye on the Calendar - as it continually changes):

 MOCSEM Meet-up at Culvers, Westland on May 21 st
 MOCSEM Cruise to Zehnders, Frankenmuth on May 30 th
